  • Solution to real or emerging problem(s)
  • Management Team
  • Market

We want to see that you have a thorough understanding of the problem you solve. If possible try to validate your view with feedback from a prospective customer. Then, show us how your solution solves the problem you've described. Tell us how people currently handle the problem, what you know about competitors and why you will be the winning solution provider.

Next, tell us about your qualifications and relevant experience as well as those for your team. We recognize some great ideas and great companies come from people who have no or little relevant experience. VOC Capital partners has special assets for improving chances of success if you are, what we call a ‘latent entrepreneur’ (someone who does not consider him/herself an entrepreneur but who has extensive domain expertise like academic professionals, PhD students, etc). If your idea is powerful but if you are pitching your first company, we will consider your plan. Convince us!

Last, tell us about your market as you understand it. Why will customers pay for your solution and how much? Are there any previous examples? What changed to make the problem solvable? Who else can play in the market and compete with you? Who is your target customer? If you plan to sell to enterprises or institutions, have you identified key sponsors for your purchase? Will you sell directly or through distribution? What are the key customer requirements?
